はなれ-山の上-【左門町】一棟貸古民家特別室|74平米
"A Residence Marked by the History of the Mining Town"
Located in Kyomachi Street, the central area of the Edo-period mining town, this guestroom sits quietly in a hidden alleyway, just off the once-bustling Nakakyo-machi district. The name Samonmachi, which we have given to this guestroom, is also the name of the surrounding neighborhood. Originally built in the 1930s as company housing for workers in the mining industry, this building is recognized as an essential part of the Cultural Landscape of Sado Aikawa’s Mines and Mining Town, designated by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs. Due to its historical significance, it is a preserved and protected structure.

This building, which originally consisted of four Japanese-style rooms, has been converted into an entire rental guesthouse. It features two separate bedrooms—one with two semi-double beds and another with a double bed—making it ideal for group stays.

Tucked away in a quiet side street off Kyomachi Street, the guestroom Samonmachi offers a private and tranquil retreat, allowing you to fully relax and unwind.
"A Functional Kitchen and Laundry Facilities"
The guestroom includes a fully equipped kitchen, complete with an IH stove and a multi-purpose grill pot for versatile cooking. Additionally, a washing machine with a drying function is available, making this space well-suited for long-term stays.

"A Private Wooden Deck to Enjoy Your Own Time"
Step onto the wooden deck to gaze at the starry sky—at night, the surroundings become completely serene. Enjoy your personal retreat at your own pace.

The bathroom is designed for comfort, featuring an overhead shower. The spacious hinoki-lined bath fills the air with a refreshing natural aroma. With a window allowing sunlight to filter in, the bath provides the perfect space to soak away your travel fatigue.

Start Your Morning with a Complimentary Breakfast
A complimentary breakfast is included in your stay. It is provided by a local delicatessen in the Tasha district of Sado. The meal consists of rice balls, side dishes, and miso soup—simple yet reminiscent of everyday life on Sado. The rice used is locally grown Koshihikari, and other ingredients are sourced from Sado or made in-house.

Guests can choose to have breakfast in their room or at "Kyomachi Chaya," our dedicated breakfast venue. While a short walk from the rooms, the breathtaking view from the venue is well worth the trip.
