We are located in a quiet village where there are hardly any cars passing, this small old-style inn welcomes one group per day.

We provide two meals, breakfast and dinner, so that you can enjoy this local town with all five senses.

If you are interested in rural hidden Japan,

we recommend staying for two nights or more to enjoy your stay at your leisure,

but if you don't have enough time, please choose the one-night plan.

The two-night plan is a better deal.

15 minutes walk. Located on a hilltop with a great view, this shrine is recommended for a morning walk. The village's guardian deity is enshrined here.
There is a Kotatsu which is a table with an electric heater underneath and a blanket on top to
trap the warmth.

How to spend at Uzumaki(example)

A welcome drink in the quiet storehouse. If the weather is nice, we recommend to have a drink at the garden. It's also nice to take a walk around the area while it's still light. Maybe our silkie chickens will come to say hello!

17:00 Experience heating a Goemon bath(Only for who wants to try.)

18:00 Take a bath

19:00 Dinner starts

06:30 Wake up / Experience cooking rice in a Kamado which is Japanese traditional cooking pod heated by wood fire

■Dinner

Enjoy our creative course meals that take advantage of the local climate and feature natural ingredients such as vegetables from Okuizumo Town and home-grown, pesticide-free vegetables, wild plants, and wild boars.


A chef who has been working in Tokyo, Yokohama, and Okinawa for 20 years, mainly in Italian cuisine, and who moved to Okuizumo-town, will cook course for you.

By combining Italian cuisine techniques with Japanese fermented and preserved foods,

he creates simple yet profound flavors.

The chef himself goes into the fields, rice field, and forests,

experiences the process from plants to ingredients,

constructs menus every day based on ingredients that come around with each season and

inspiration that comes from within his heart.

Rice harvesting. Our home-made rice is grown in small fields, planted and harvested by hand, without the use of pesticides.
We can arrange birthday/anniversary plate! Please fill in the details in the requests section on the next page.

We use vegetables and fruits shared with us by our neighbors, natural ingredients collected from the forests, and vegetables grown in our own small field.

We hope to deliver each and every dish that brings to mind the scenery and story behind how the ingredients were grown.

We hope you will simply enjoy your mealtime and space, without worrying about time.

■Goemon bath

After the dinner, enjoy a relaxing bath in the Goemon bath heated with firewood.

The well water is soft, and wood fire keep you warm from inside.


If you would like to take a bath before dinner, you can also experience heating a Goemon bath. Please add this option when making your reservation.

■Breakfast

Enjoy simple Japanese traditional breakfast with beautiful view of rice terrace.

You can taste Home-grown organic rice, Miso soup made with homemade miso and vegetables picked that morning, Homemade pickles and eggs from free-range silkie chickens.

You can also experience cooking rice in a kamado, If you want.

Japanese traditional cooking pod called Kamado which heated by wood fire.
After rice planting in May. The view from the shrine on the hill, a 15-minute walk away. This is a recommended walking course.


You need to drive 1hour from Izumo airport or Izumo city.

It's difficult to reach here by train or bus.
