Momo explores and puts into practice a way of life that can be passed onto future generations. "Ecommodation Momo no Yado" or “Momo’s Inn” was created as a place to share the lifestyle we aspire to.
“Momo’s Inn” is accommodation where guests can consume locally-sourced food and energy and experience an “eco-friendly” lifestyle.
What guests can do at "Momo’s Inn"
Harvest, eat, chop, utilize and share.

Features of "Momo’s Inn"
Local production for local consumption (food)
A selection of rural dishes made with locally-produced ingredients, such as vegetables and rice grown by Momo and local farmers or meat, will be served for meals.
At Momo’s Inn we value the time we spend together around the table, so we hope to spend fulfilling moments with our guests while experiencing the changing seasons through our mountain cuisine.

Local production for local consumption (energy)
At Momo’s Inn, there is no fossil fuel-based heating. The wood chopped by everyone is burned in the stove to heat the rooms.
For water we draw groundwater from a well and the hot water is produced by making use of natural energy. We also generate our own electricity by using photovoltaic panels.
The house a century later
The structural timber of Momo’s Inn is made from solid cedar, which originally grew in Momo’s mountain, and is strengthened by the traditional construction method of “kigumi (timber framing)”. The walls of the inn feature earthen walls made from locally produced clay and rice straw to improve humidity control and heat storage.
We hope that this place will be appreciated for many years to come and that traditional techniques such as timber framing and earthen walls will be handed down to the future.
