Tanagokoro Village is in Hinohara Village, Tokyo's only mainland village. It's about a two-hour journey from central Tokyo by train and bus.
While you can enjoy the abundant nature on a day trip, there's a unique charm that only those who stay overnight can experience, like the tranquility of the night and the fresh morning air.
Surrounded by nature with no nearby houses and the clear Akigawa River flowing right in front, Tanagokoro Village offers a relaxed atmosphere for spending time with family and friends.
Hinohara Village is pleasant from April to November, where you can enjoy the changing scenery through the seasons: fresh green leaves in spring, the sparkling clear river in summer, and soothing autumn foliage.
Winter (December to March) is very cold but offers a quiet, peaceful stay with fewer tourists.
Yuraku is a cottage that can accommodate up to 21 overnight guests.
The building includes a barrel sauna and a BBQ space with a pizza oven, along with a toilet, shower, vanity, kitchen, and bath.
For overnight stays or the full-day private barrel sauna plan, you'll have access to the entire cottage's facilities, allowing you to enjoy the barrel sauna, pizza making with the pizza oven, and barbecuing.
If you choose an overnight plan, you can enjoy the barrel sauna from check-in until 6:00 PM.
If you book the 3-hour private day-use sauna plan, Yuraku can be used for changing, showering, and as a relaxation area.
If you're staying overnight or using the full-day plan, you'll have access to the BBQ space with a pizza oven.
Please refrain from using the sauna after consuming alcohol.

Are there any convenience stores nearby?
Unfortunately, there are no stores or vending machines in the immediate vicinity. Please prepare any food ingredients, seasonings, or other necessities you might need in advance.
What's the climate like?
While we're in Tokyo, we're located deep in the mountains at a high elevation. This means winters are very cold, and even in summer, mornings and evenings can be cool. Please pay close attention to your clothing, especially during winter.
Can we set off fireworks?
No, but you're welcome to enjoy handheld fireworks only on the Akigawa riverbed, which flows directly below our facility. Please refrain from using projectile fireworks. Remember to take all your trash with you.
Is there a TV?
No, there is no TV provided. We encourage you to enjoy conversations with family and friends or simply embrace the peaceful atmosphere.
How can we enjoy pizza making?
Pizza making is an exclusive activity for guests staying overnight at YURAKU or those with a full-day private rental. If you wish to make pizza, you can pre-order pizza dough (for a fee) as an option, and we'll provide it on the day of your stay. Please bring your own sauce and toppings. If you need instructions on how to use the pizza oven or a pizza-making lecture, please ask our staff on the day.

What payment methods are accepted on-site?
You can pay with cash, credit cards, e-money, or QR code payments.
Can we play in the river or have a day BBQ before check-in?
We apologize, but due to facility cleaning and parking arrangements, we cannot accommodate early arrivals before check-in or day-use BBQs. Please enjoy river activities and barbecuing only during your stay, from check-in until check-out.
What should we do for meals during our stay?
Please prepare your own meals using our BBQ facilities and cooking utensils. Please note that while Hidamari does not have BBQ facilities, it does have a kitchen. Guests staying at Chame House or Hidamari can add a breakfast option. ★ Don't forget to visit the bakery "Tanagokoro" located within Tanagokoro Village! Besides bread, we also offer lunch menus like pizza and pasta, and cafe items. You can enjoy bread and pizza for takeout or dine-in during business hours. Feel free to stop by during your stay or even after check-out!
When can I change the number of people in my reservation?
Please make changes at least three days in advance. However, if you have a last-minute change, please let us know as soon as possible. If the number of people decreases during the period when cancellation fees apply, you will be charged a cancellation fee. You can change your reservation by following the link in the confirmation email you received when you booked, or by contacting our email address listed as the contact point.
