STORY
Welcome to the historic Yanagimachi area of Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, a former post town on the old Hokkoku Kaido road which brought travellers from the north through the former domain of Shinshu toward the capital, Edo. Yanagimachi is also home to the Okazaki Sake Brewery, who have made sake here for over 300 years.
Across the road lies the private Sakagura Hotel KIREI, concealed behind a traditional storefront. Designed, fitted and equipped by the careful handiwork of local craftspeople, the revitalized building is a work of art which showcases the living culture of Ueda and is used by the brewery to highlight seasonal pairings and cuisine that celebrate regional produce.
Everything is carefully selected to allow you to experience the vitality and artistry of the Ueda area through this microcosm of its culture and produce.

Enjoy a flight of five Shinshu Kirei sake freshly made across the road at the Okazaki Sake Brewery, with food pairings selected by one of their brewers who is also a chef.
This exclusive experience gives you a taste of the climate and geography of the region, lovingly transformed by the farmers and producers who live in and bring life to the area.

Gather around a traditional nabe pot to enjoy Shinshu Kirei in a more relaxed atmosphere over a casual dinner.
Your experience of local produce, served in wares made by local craftspeople, continues at breakfast–a chazuke of dashi stock and grilled onigiri made from rice cooked in an earthenware pot.
Every sip, every bite, brings you a taste of the seasons and terroir of Ueda.

The Sakagura Hotel KIREI is a Taisho Period store which was relocated, reconstructed and given new life as a private space for you to relax in and enjoy.
Venture out onto the historic Yanagimachi Street with the Okazaki Brewery across the road, or accept the invitation to linger inside and enjoy being surrounded by the area’s handmade wares and artworks.

1日1組限定一棟貸し（定員4名） サケセレモニー（おつまみ付き5種の信州亀齢飲み比べ）15:30〜 夕食(お鍋セルフサービス）17時以降、お好きな時間に 朝食付き（和食セットメニュー）8:30〜 2階建の古民家をリノベーションしており、ベッドルームは2階に２部屋に分かれてございます。シングルサイズベッドが2台あるお部屋と、キングサイズベッド1台のお部屋です。それぞれに間仕切りもございますが、一棟貸しスタイルであることからベッドルームに施錠はできません。
子供も泊まれますか？
お酒のご提供があることから、二十歳未満の方のご宿泊はお断りしております。
宿泊者以外の見学について
運営と防犯の観点から、見学は受け入れておりません。宿泊のお客さまとお知り合いの場合も建物内への立ち入りはお断りしております。

スタッフは常駐しません。 チェックイン時は事前にご連絡頂きましたお時間に、スタッフがお待ちしております。ご変更の場合はご一報くださいますようお願いいたします。夜間はスタッフ不在となりますが、緊急時にはすぐに駆けつけお客様の安全をお守りいたします。
