Private Kominka Stay with Tea Steam Sauna
Tea-Infused Wood-Fired Sauna, Private for Your Group
A private, century-old Japanese kominka - a traditional wooden house - paired with a wood-fired log sauna in a small Japanese garden.
In Fujieda, Shizuoka’s tea country, the rhythm is simple: heat, steam, cold water, and quiet air. The warmth of firewood, the toasty aroma of tea, and the clean bite of natural groundwater help you reset together as a group. The entire house is yours (one group per day; up to 9 guests), so conversation flows easily—from the tatami room to the veranda.
Log Sauna Experience (private session)
Hours: 15:00–17:00 on the day of arrival (2 hours, private for your group)
Setting: A standalone log sauna hut in a Japanese garden, built with Shizuoka-grown timber
Heat: Wood stove by MOKI—a deep, even heat that reaches the core
Steam (loyly): Pour Fujieda green tea or Japanese black tea over the stones; the gentle, toasty aroma fills the room
Cold plunge: Natural groundwater (typically 15–18°C / 59–64°F, seasonally variable)
Open-air rest: Cool down in the garden, listening to wind and birds before the next round
After: Finish with chilled Shizuoka tea—simple, clean, restorative
