2. Warning
・For your health and the safety of others, please do not enter the onsen if you have already consumed alcohol. There is a high possibility you could experience dizziness, dehydration and feel faint. In this regard, we have the right to refuse your entry. ・Please refrain from bringing alcohol from outside. *Drinks and snacks are available for purchase on site.
3. Prohibited items and rules
・Do not use hair dyes in the bath. ・Do not bring or eat food in the bath. ・Do not bring glass bottles into the onsen area. ・Do not bring accessories / jewelry into the bath. (The water quality in onsen could have adverse effects against some accessories.)
4. How to take an onsen
First, rinse your body with the warm onsen water using the provided small bucket to remove excess oils and/or perspiration. As you rinse your body with the warm water before you take an onsen, you would adjust more easily rather than experiencing any sudden hot temperature shock to the body. Rinse your body again before you finish taking it. ※Warning※ ・Do not stay in the bath for a long time. You could have a dizziness. E.g. take an onsen for about 3 minutes and rest. Repeat this a few times as your body will adjust to the temperature. ・Take your time when getting out from the hot temperature into the cold temperature. ・Make sure to stay hydrated as you sweat a lot naturally in the warm bath.
5. Skincare
The high alkaline in Happo onsen will make your skin smooth as it naturally removes any oil and perspiration. After you finish taking an onsen, we recommend you moisturize your body with cream or lotion. *We do not provide moisturizer, so you are welcome to bring your own.
6. Relieving yourself in places other than the toilet
Acts such as urinating while standing are a violation of the Minor Offenses Act and criminal law. Please do not do so. If discovered, we will report you to the police or charge you 50,000 yen for cleaning. Toilet is located outside the reception.
7. Polluting the onsen
If you are found to be contaminating the hot spring by vomiting, etc., we will report you to the police or charge you 50,000 yen for cleaning costs. If the next guest is not allowed to bathe due to the above, you would be charged the amount of the reservation of the next guest.
