“Living in Times”

"If we can encourage people to stay an extra night in Tainan, they might come to love this city a little more.", said by Kyle whose objective was to imply the experiences in the city of his home town, Tainan to Kanazawa.
The living room on the first floor showcases traditional Kanazawa artifacts as well as works by contemporary artists, portraying Kanazawa as the city of craftsmanship. It also captures the tactile warmth and the flow of time.
The second-floor living room is equipped with a writing desk and a single chair. Through the scenery on the second floor, we hope to inspire guests to once again pick up their pens or brushes and capture the beauty of the present moment.
設計概念在闡述關於金沢的生活,於傳統及摩登之間找到平衡點,也讓住進來的客人感受到金沢傳統町屋的氛圍。
在台南已經營老房子民宿超過15年，希望把台灣對於老房子的服務思維及視角運用在金沢町屋。
1樓的客廳，收藏了傳統金沢文物及當代藝術家的作品，表現金沢為工藝之都，同時也希望留宿的客人能感受「手感的溫度」及「時間的流動」。
2樓起居室，設置了寫字桌及單椅，希望透過2樓的風景，讓人能再次提筆寫下或畫下這當下的美好。

“As a true native of Tainan Taiwan, I returned from studying abroad and felt deeply saddened by the continual disappearance of local old houses. Alongside my friends, I founded the "Old House Club" and transformed my family's forty-year-old residence into one of Taiwan's most renowned guesthouses, Xie House, exploring the possibilities of revitalizing old houses.” In the past, Tainan was merely a stopover on journeys. "If we can encourage people to stay an extra night in Tainan, they might come to love this city a little more.", said by Kyle.
In 2018, because of the speech, about promotingTainan to the residents of Ishikawa Prefecture, was brought Kyle to Kanazawa where he knew more about this beautiful city and has fallen in love ever since.
He hopes for letting Taiwanese people experience and feel the beauty of Kanazawa and choose here for their discover destination.
土生土長的台南人。海外求學歸來後有感於當地老屋不斷消失，與朋友一同成立老房子俱樂部，更將自家四十年老宅打造成台灣最著名民宿之一謝宅，探索老屋活化可能性。在過去，台南只是旅途中轉站，「能把人留在台南多住一晚，人們就會多愛上這個城市一些」 。長久以來，總是希望更多朋友能夠感受到我們對於這塊土地的熱愛，期待能把這些想法轉換成一個真實的表現，2018年因為一場金澤的演講，推廣台南給石川縣的居民原本來推廣台南的我們，進而更認識金澤這個美麗的地方，愛上了這個城市期待讓台灣人可以體驗及感受金澤的美。

connecting rooms（聯通房）是什麼房型？ What kind of rooms are connecting rooms?
A棟和B棟在1樓的部份可互通的房型。最多可以入住8位（A棟4位，B棟4位） 兩棟房子可以室內移動，有獨自浴室和廁所，不過2樓的部份沒有聯通，所以推薦2家人一起來住，或是房間想分開的好朋友組合。並提供小廚房可以使用。 The rooms are located in House A and House B, which are connected by a ground floor. The two houses can be accessed from each other, but each building has its own bathroom, and the bedrooms on the second floor are not connected to the building next door, so this is recommended for two families or a group of people who wish to have separate bedrooms. A mini-kitchen is also available.
