《Tour》Akiyamago: Hidden Village in the Deep Snow – 1-Day Tour from Echigo-Yuzawa
Experience the Winter of Akiyamago — One of the World’s Heaviest Snowfall Regions
1-Day Tour
This one-day tour offers a chance to experience winter in Akiyamago, a remote mountain area renowned as one of the world’s heaviest snowfall regions.
Available only during the Echigo-Tsumari Winter 2026 program period (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from January 24 to March 8, excluding February 11 (Wed, holiday), February 28 (Sat), and March 1 (Sun)).
The tour includes visits to the dynamic Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel, and AKEYAMA, an art space created under the concept of “learning survival skills from the mountains.”
For lunch, enjoy a warm, heartwarming meal made with local ingredients at Katakuri-no-Yado.
Come and experience the quiet beauty and dignified stillness of Akiyamago — a winter landscape unlike any other.
