Shirahama Onsen is one of the three major hot springs in Japan and one of the three oldest hot springs in Japan. The baths are spacious, and the source of the hot water is drawn directly from the source of one of the most historic hot springs in Japan, Miyuki no Yu (Saki no Yu).

The water is colorless, transparent, and contains baking soda, and as a beauty hot spring, it has a remarkable effect on making the skin fair and fine, and is appreciated by women.
