PERTORNARE Dinner Plan (Including dinner and breakfast)
This plan is available from Wednesday to Sunday.
This accommodation plan includes a course dinner collaboration with the Italian restaurant PERTORNARE in Kamikatsu.
By booking this plan, you can enjoy dinner at the PERTORNARE restaurant.
*Reservations are available for a minimum of one adult.
*Drinks are not included in the plan.
(Drinks are to be paid at the PERTORNARE restaurant.)
*Reservations are not accepted on Mondays and Tuesdays, as they are the restaurant's regular holidays.
*A maximum of 10 guests is accommodated per day.
The course features seasonal local ingredients, with choices for appetizers, pasta, main dishes, and desserts. Each course offers a selection of 2 to 3 dishes (prefix style).
Transportation to the Restaurant
From HOTEL WHY to PERTORNARE, guests must arrange their own transportation.
Please consider one of the following two options:
➀ Guests wishing to travel at their own pace
Please drive to the restaurant in your own vehicle.
(Approximately a 5-minute drive)*Use the parking lot at Tsukigatani Onsen “Tsuki no Yado”.
➁ For guests wishing to enjoy wine or other alcoholic beverages
Please take the Town bus to go to the restaurant and use Paid volunteer taxi for returning.
Guests wishing to use the taxi service should select “Town bus (there) / Paid volunteer taxi (back)” as their transportation method when making their reservation.
We will arrange the return taxi in advance for you.
Please pay the fare directly to the taxi driver on the day of your trip.
*Please check the following for approximate taxi fares.(Fares vary depending on the number of passengers)
- 1 to 4 passengers per vehicle: 930 yen one way
- 5 to 7 passengers per vehicle: 1,350 yen one way
*The town bus fare is 200 yen.
*Town bus does not operate at night, so it cannot be used for return transportation.

Our local staff will introduce the "Kamikatsu Zero Waste Center WHY" and share the history of the town's commitment to Zero Waste.
*For guests who prefer a more detailed explanation in English, an optional "STUDY WHY English Private Tour" is also available.
【Waste Sorting Experience】
Bring the waste baskets you have sorted into 6 categories in your room to the on-site Waste Station.
You can experience first-hand how the waste generated during your stay is sorted in Kamikatsu and recycled into new resources.

INOW provides a guided experience of the village centred around understanding the zero waste system and sustainability.

For Children
For children under 11 year old, the following Kids Policy applies.
-Ages 0–5: No bedding, no breakfast, no dinner included
-Ages 6–11: Bedding, breakfast, and dinner included*For children aged 0–5, you can order à la carte dishes for dinner at the restaurant.
*Dinner charges for children aged 0–5 are to be paid at the PERTORNARE restaurant.
*If breakfast is required for children aged 0-5, please add them as options at the time of reservation.
*If bedding is required for children aged 0–5, please book as a 6-year-old.
*Please be aware that PERTORNARE has steps and stairs. Take extra care with small children.

-Dinner is served at PERTORNARE restaurant.
*Please note that dinner is not available at HOTEL WHY.-Dinner starts at 6:30 pm, so please make sure to arrive at the restaurant by this time.
*If you arrive late, we may not be able to serve dinner.-This plan is a request-based reservation, and we may not be able to accept reservations depending on PERTORNARE’s availability.

About PERTORNARE
PERTORNARE is an Italian restaurant in Kamikatsu, Tokushima Prefecture, that opened in 2014, focused on local production for local consumption. In April 2024, the restaurant was relocated to the Taisho-era house.The menu is based on ingredients from Kamikatsu, along with other carefully selected ingredients from the chef, offering authentic Italian cuisine.
Featured in the French restaurant guidebook Gault & Millau in both 2022 and 2023, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere unique to traditional Japanese houses, where guests can enjoy the relaxed ambiance and dishes that showcase the charm of each ingredient. The restaurant aims to provide a comfortable dining experience with both exquisite cuisine and a relaxing space.

Chef Profile
Chef Taira Omotehara
Born in 1989 in Tokushima City. Chef Omotohara worked at a French restaurant before joining Al-che-cciano under Masayuki Okuda. He contributed to the opening of LA SORA SEED at Tokyo Sky Tree’s Solamachi in 2012, then spent two years working at the Nojima Scuola restaurant on Awaji Island. In December 2014, he opened PERTORNARE in Kamikatsu, Tokushima, establishing his own restaurant.

About Dinner

The standard zero waste guide tour "STUDY WHY" is conducted every 4:30 PM only in Japanese. For guests who prefer guidance in English, we offer an exclusive "STUDY WHY English Private Tour" starting at 4:00 PM. Limited to "only two groups" per day, this premium program provides a more personalized and in-depth look at Kamikatsu’s zero waste systems and lifestyle. If you wish to join, please select it from the "Options" menu.
