SUGURO is the surname of the landlord who owned the original property of Villa SUGURO. We decided to keep this iconic family name of the Toi community in hope to let the local people feel familiar with us.

At Villa SUGURO, our guests can indulge themselves in a new accommodation experience in the guestroom with a beautiful structure and different zones in space, while enjoying delicious meals of LOQUAT and the splendid view of the mountains and the sea unique to Izu, all put together for one group of guests per night.In front of the Villa there runs a little creek; in early summer, lights given off of fireflies create a mystical atmosphere. Two independent bedrooms and a wide living room are spacious for a family/group of four persons.

The Exterior / Garden

Going through the gate of a historical former residence, the whole place is booked only for you.

The Japanese garden expresses the unique scenery of Izu with layers of mountains and the sea. The area resembling the ocean has a stone depicting a ship in the center, while the trees blossom with flowers in the backdrop as the mountain scene. The green moss gives us the feel of wabisabi.

The Ensuite Open-Air Hot Spring

The private open-air hot spring with the view of the symbolic loquat tree, from which the name of the hotel came, is comforting and spacious. In the evening the trees are lit up, creating a mystical ambience.

Relaxation Sauna; the Hammam Bath

Next to the terrace with the open-air hot spring, there is a bathroom where you can enjoy complimentary hammam bath, a Turkish style relaxation sauna. The Toi produced loquat leaves are steamed under the distinctive leaf-shaped bed in order to detoxify the body by improved circulation enabled by the infrared effect of the steam. It is effective not only for improving poor circulation and losing weight, but also for enhancing movements of the intestines and female organs, rejuvenating skin and hair, as well as reducing stress and bringing balance to your body and mind.

The Living Room

From the wide and inviting living room you can enjoy the view of the mountains of Izu Amagi, as well as the flame of the fire pit in the deck, bringing peaceful moments.

The Private Deck

A bio-ethanol fire pit using recyclable resource and not emitting any pollutants is situated in the deck with the view of the seasonal trees and plants with the backdrop of the mountains in Izu. You can enjoy the relaxing moments gazing at the moving flame, along with the sound of the river and the greenery all around, free from the bothering soot or odor.

The Dining Room

An eye-capturing, beautiful wooden tabletop of a cherry tree from Izu is used for the table in the dining room. The cocoda chairs of KOMA, a winner of the Red Dot Design Award, an international product design award, are used to create the guestroom's contemporary atmosphere.

The Bed Room

Modern Japanese style bedroom with an exposed ceiling beam, you can rest for the night in a comfortable bed.

In the room next to the bedroom, there is space where you can enjoy having tea with the view of the garden filled with seasonal plants and trees.It is possible to place twin beds upon request, enabling to fit four adults as Villa SUGURO's maxim occupancy.

Kitchen/In-Suite Private Chef

In the full gourmet kitchen provided with professional quality cooking tools and devices as well as a wine cellar, you can have the executive chef and bartender of LOQUAT come over to Villa SUGURO to prepare Italian course dinners and drinks in your Private Chef/Bar Tender Plan with additional fees. The ultimate private dining experience of fine Italian cuisine will be offered using fresh local ingredients including seafood of Suruga Bay and vegetables of Amagi, along with simple yet refined sauces with a modern flair.　Note: Mark Private Chef Option at the time of making your reservation; otherwise, your dinner will be at the Main Building of LOQUAT as in the Standard Plan, with complimentary chauffeur service.

The Reading Room

Up the stairs by the entrance, there is a little reading room. The antique table and chair that have been polished up are the ones that came out of the former mansion before it got fully renovated.　Enjoy the nostalgic and peaceful moment watching the sun go down at Suruga Bay from your window with selected records and books.

In the Evening

Indulge yourself in the hot spring with lit up greenery in your sight. The open-air bath is all yours to be enjoyed as many times as you would like during your stay.
